Gayathry Krishnamurthy

Dr Gayathry Krishnamurthy is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Genetic Epidemiology at the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, University of Tasmania. She completed her PhD in Genetic Epidemiology at the University of Tasmania in 2025, where her research focused on cardiovascular disease risk in women. Her work investigates the genetic and molecular links between hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and later-life cardiovascular disease using polygenic risk scores, multi-omics data, and population cohorts to improve prediction and understanding of women’s cardiovascular health.
